AFAA Publication

After the adoption it's not long before the formal education process starts, and this may raise issues for both the child and the schooling system. Firstly, background from the child's past may impact on their ability to gain the most from the schools, and secondly, schools may not recognise the special circumstances of the child and how they might need to adjust their teaching to take this into account. This booklet identifies the potential issues and suggests stratagems to handle them.
